InnoWeek WS 2022
KRoJ has had its first truly successful Week of Innovative Teaching!
All four events organized by the department on Thursday 3/11/2022 were seamlessly connected and attracted a good number of students.
At the Climate Workshop, thirty students from the 2RO301 course (Preparing for the Paris Chamber of Commerce MFF I – B2/C1) tried their hand at teamwork in a game on climate change, during which they debated live in French and also completed a quiz on Kahoot… The interactive concept talked even the shy ones out of this terminologically relatively difficult topic. Many thanks to the non-profit organization La Fresque du Climat and to the facilitators Chloé Vésier and Clément Maufras for their excellent facilitation of the workshop. We would also like to thank the French Institute for facilitating the contact and making the workshop possible.
The Spanish Section, together with the Economic Section of the Embassy of Spain in the Czech Republic, prepared a lecture on the trade relations between Spain and the Czech Republic. The Commercial Counselor, Mr. Jaime Alcaide Arranz, and his colleagues from the Oficina económica y comercial de España en la República Checa spoke to more than 120 students on the topic of Spanish investment in the Czech Republic and reminded them of the historical links between the two countries. A stimulating discussion followed, with many questions being asked.
The two speakdating events, focusing on all our languages (FR / SP / IT / PORT), attracted dozens of students, from complete beginners, who were introduced to the basics of the language, to the very advanced. Prepared topics and terminological aids were often not needed, free four-minute conversations started immediately before the first gong sounded, without shyness, with amazing energy… You can look forward to the speakdating sessions in the next semesters, we will definitely repeat them!
Finally, once again, many thanks to all our partners for their help and support and to our students for their participation. We are looking forward to the next Innovation Week in March 2023!
